Google Doodle!
In Social Studies, each student researched a Canadian province or territory.
Using the results of their research, they had to create a Google Doodle including the following details:
-the flag
-the flower
-the population
-a symbol representing the capital city
-a symbol representing a tourist attraction
-a symbol representing an interesting fact
-any additional symbol
Can you guess the province or territory of each Google Doodle?
For those students not finished their Google Doodles, they are due on Thursday!

Science Design Process
Students are working on a new Design Process in Science!
Here's the scenario: you and another astronaut land on the Moon. You decide to take the lunar jeep out for a spin but all of sudden - disaster! - you crash! You have to get back to your spaceship, which is 10km away. You are wearing your spacesuit and have the following ten items that survived the crash:
matches, a radio, a GPS, a magnetic compass, two tanks of oxygen, an ipad, 50m of nylon rope, a map of the sky as seen from the Moon, signal flares and food.
Students have to list these items from 1 (most important) to 10 (least important) including an explanation for each placement.

Ski Trip tomorrow!
For those students going on the Grade 6 Ski Trip tomorrow, make sure you are dressed for the weather and bring a lunch and a bottle of water. Be at school at 6:45 a.m.!
